A loooong time ago I could have sworn I was PGand used a FRER. A very VERY faint line showed immediately, I couldn't tell if there was colour or not..a few days later I tried with another one, same exact result..I waited another day and same exact line.All the lines showed up under a minute and never got darker.

Even though you use the First early response test kit, on the second line (test line) a tiny amount of ink may stuck. Try and compare the control lines (to the right) on FRER and easy@home. The FRER control line is a much lighter pink, and therefore the test line is also lighter. If you look at easy@home, the control line is very dark. So in conclusion, easy@home tests have a darker color in them, and that's why you see a difference.
