Nov 4, 2013 · Hi all, recently did the oil change on the engine of my L3800. Manual for the L3800 says to use 7.5 quarts including the oil filter which was changed out at the same time. Now for the confusing part. The manual shows a dipstick that has a square section at the end with two lines with cross hatching in between. If your Kubota diesel engine operates in areas where temperatures are below 32℉,10w30 oil is ideal as they remain fluid even under low temperatures. On the other hand, if the temperature is above 32℉, ‌ choose oils with 10w30 or 15w40 viscosity. These oils are stable under high temperatures.
