And if I do any camping, I can haul a lot more comfortable sleeping equipment on it (I also need a thick air mattress for these bones!). Are they still having problems with the doohickey or burning oil in the motors. The local dealership told me that all of the problems had been resolved. Was just wondering what owners were seeing with them.

Just fill it up and ride it as is, enjoy the ride, weather and scenery. You can deal with all those farkles/mods later, as you like. Just enjoy the bike stock for now, its new enough to take you anywhere you want and back. Those japs didn’t sell you a lemon.
