So if you use a 2011+ solenoid (or trans) in a 2007-2010 truck, you will blow continual P0760 (OD Solenoid Circuit) faults, since in the newer solenoid module there IS NO OD SOLENOID. So that would be my first suspicion. The 2011+ solenoid module has a GRAY wiring connector.
