CZ's OEM systems use shoulders and recesses to transfer shear loads between the plate and slide. There are two different patterns, one for the P-10 series and one for the Shadow 2. P-10. CZC has set up two Shadow 1's with the multi-optic plates for me (both have SRO's mounted) and just recently did a direct mill on a Shadow 2 for another SRO and milled the slide to make CO weight for IDPA. The S2 has just about an ounce to spare on the weight.The screws are to hold the scope to the slide, the posts are to ensure alignment. Both are required in my opinion. it could be fixed by drilling additional holes where they are required for alignment and insert posts.
