Im having issues with my sons KFX 50, it started out not running very good, then would die for no reason while riding it, gas started leaking out of carb. So far the carb and jets have been cleaned, exhaust cleaned out.big issues i think with Kfx 700. Hi there. I have an 04 kfx 700. A while back replaced the stator and went to fire it back up after sitting for a few months and it ran really rough and died. After a while of cranking it over and messing with it it didnt sound good at all. I bought an 05 kawasaki 50 for my son 2 weeks ago. Now that I've cleaned the flow valve the leak has stopped under the Carb, but now as my son runs up and down the street, that is flat, it just dies. I'll go pull the start cord and it starts right back up.

Once the cltuch nut is off, remove the front cover and sheave together. remove the spacer. reinstall the front sheave and the nut. Definatly do it. with the spacer in it'll do a whoopping 14 mph. with the spacer out, it'll do ~32 but you can easily cut that back with the throttle. it's much easier to ride without overrevving the crap out of it.

Here is a list of what I've down so far to try to solve the problem: ~Checked Timing. ~Valves are good. ~Compression is good. ~Timing is good. ~ Put in new starter clutch (had metal shaving particles) ~New coil, cap and spark plug. I'm not sure what the problem may be.
