So far it’s cleared out about 150 chunks but when I fly through there isn’t any allthemodium.In atm 7 (1.18.1) its in mountain type biomes. Natures compass shows the type of all the biome as there isn't one just called mountain any more. Apparently it exists from y 20 down but is rare or more commonly (not like iron common) above y170. You can see the odd bit here and there on exposed rock on peaks as you jetpack around looking.

I found my first one in Mining Dimension. If you don’t know how you need to make the Teleport Pad(It’s gold). Trade(drop) gold ingots with those pig people and eventually you’ll get allthemodium nuggets. Surround an enderpearl with 4 allthemodium nuggets.
