The Center for Embedded Systems (CES) was established in 2001 as an industry/university partnership dedicated to developing a globally-recognized center for embedded computing system technologies. In March 2009, CES achieved the designation of National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center. I am particularly interested in algorithms for computing safe and reliable AI behavior. This includes hierarchical abstractions for computing and explaining goal-directed agent behavior, as well as methods for learning generalizable knowledge that would help the AI system solve similar problems more efficiently.
