The cave pass through to the cove is an easy no-wolf entry/exit. No workbench but a straight shot to the airfield without a huge predator threat. Forge at airfield basement too, which is great, as most forge maps are not great sustained base maps. Not really a newbie, but it is my first save since the overhaul. I was going to save Forsaken for last of all the maps. But I think I want to do it sooner rather than later. I have good gear and some of my essential skills up to 5. But I'm a bit nervous. Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game for solo play or 2-10 (Co-op PvE) players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. The plane crash is a uniquely good early loot spot for clothes. The best birch and coal spawns. Two 6-burner-stoves. Decent amount of cattails. HRV is a bitch to learn. Once you've explored the map (and learned the cheeses), the map feels fair and rewarding. Loot is far superior than airfield and feels guaranteed.

Post day 50 interloper, don't expect to see temps over -35 in FA even in the afternoon. The blizzards are tough there and last longer than in other regions, but multiple blizzards in a row is just bad RNG, gotta get that ...

There's no tale objective in Forsaken Airfield, only regular caches (orange radio channel). You should have picked up a journal note ("FIELD 31 OPERATIONS MEMO") alongside the radio, it has information on which regions contains the Signal Void tale. Spoilers for which regions has tales and what is required: Bleak Inlet.
