With Mathews, every mod is optimized for your draw length to maximize performance. So I would start there.The reason I ask is that the Mathews have been coming in pretty heavy vs what mod they have on. 3 - 4 lbs over isn't uncommon. The Hoyt VTM may come in a lower poundage, idk. The bow draws a bit smoother than the Matthew's.

Feb 19, 2023 · I like the Mathew’s phase 4 and Hoyt VTM with the Hoyt feeling slightly better. Mostly based on how it felt drawing back. (PSE with Volvo cam felt great, but getting a Fortis was 8 weeks out for EC 2 cam) They didn’t have a VTM in none camo so I shot the RX 7 ultra and liked how it felt, there were some perks compared to the VTM.

With the Cp30 having a 1 inch longer brace height. Smooth draw on comfort, better draw on performance except for the dump the last few inches. CP30 reflex is less than a inch. Phase4 is 3 1/4 inches. Phase4 is quieter.I picked up my new Mathews Phase 4 29" on Monday. I went into my local shop and shot the Phase 4 29/33 and the VTM 31. The draw cycle seemed a touch better on the VTM but the back wall and hold felt incredible on the Phase 4's. I bumped up from 60# to 70# so I didn't hold the draw cycle of the Mathews against it.

Honestly gotta shoot them both one will just feel better to you. If you can’t shoot both based on the specs the Mathews is a shorter ata at 34ish and the Hoyt is 36ish. The Hoyt in theory should be more forgiving because it is longer. The Mathews will be lighter and slightly faster shooting. The cam feel you have to pull to feel it.Tie. Quivers: Mathews has a new quiver that is close to the riser. Hoyt has a similar option but is adjustable to help balance the bow to the shooters preference.
