The Israelis used standars and NV optics on FALs and M14s. The FAL is a battle rifle and although capable of great accuracy, it was never intended to be an optic weapon. You can easily smack your target out to 500 meters through the irons. FALs and M14s have inherent scope mounting problems and zero problems.
